Surrendering To Faith

Be_Happy_Quotes_with_PicturesThe most difficult for me to learn is surrendering to faith in God’s plan. I have this insatiable need to be in control and create the life that I desire on my own terms. It’s human nature to have envision and create things, it is something that we most certainly inherited by our Creator. It’s only natural that we want to take the lead and do what we feel is best, but we should open to his influence as we co create this life with God.

Surrendering can be the most frightening thing for those of us who are apprehensive of being vulnerable. Having complete and total trust when life hasn’t dealt you a fair hand is the scariest thing you can ask of us. You tend to want to protect your heart from getting hurt in any situation.

Learning to surrender doesn’t mean you’re a failure, instead it says you’re placing your trust in a higher power. Living with the belief that everything will be alright and difficult circumstances will work itself out. You are letting go of this weight you’ve been carrying around for months. Here are some steps to the process of surrendering.

Make the Choice
Once you make the choice to surrender, it will feel like you lost a battle at first and gave up. You will feel like perhaps I could of tried another strategy but starting over isn’t always a bad thing, a fresh start is sometimes what we need.

Quiet the Noise
After you surrender you will eventually feel a sense of peace and after that comes the quiet moments of clarity. This will allow you to be present in the moment and approach things in a better way. Lao Tzu, the ancient Chinese philosopher and founder of Taoism said, “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.” So let it go.

Stay Busy
If you stay busy you won’t have time to stress about when is the blessing is coming, when will I get that job? When will I meet the love of my life? When Lord when?  Stay working on improving yourself and focus on your goals. Surrendering to what life has for you coupled with preparation will have you being ready for when opportunities knock on your door and you won’t even notice how long it will take.

Bask in Blessings
When you completely surrender to faith you and stay busy in living your life, the blessings will appear when you least expect them. You might not get what you want when you want it but you get it when you need it. Stay encourage and surrender, losing control will the bet freedom you will ever gain.
