In the beginning of the year, Kodak Black stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club after receiving Donkey of the Day (with the controversial topic of him possibly being named the best rapper alive.) During the interview, Angela Yee asked:
“Who do you look to as a mentor now… is there anybody in this business that you feel like, ok…this person is a real mentor to me that I could talk to about certain things?”
Kodak replied: “If Master P ever hollered at me, I`d holla at him.”
Charlamagne Tha God also during the interview touched on just how Master P is really a great mentor. Kodak opened up and explained that he isn’t good at networking. Well, Master P & Kodak Black’s meeting definitely went down and the two are establishing future goals for the community. Kodak also took to Instagram and shared videos and pictures of what is about to occur.
In efforts to help give back to children, the two set a plan in motion for a Back to School fundraiser; the event is to raise money for the youth in Kodak’s hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida. The goal is to help provide school supplies for over 1,300 children. According to sources close to Kodak, this event means a lot to him and he wants to stress the importance of education.
The No Limit CEO Master P recently told TMZ that he has taken Kodak under his wing since the interview, and word around town is that he even feels like a father figure to the young rapper.
We can’t wait to see the turnout of this brilliant event and what is to come with more collaborations between Master P and Kodak Black.
