We all love gathering with either our friends or coworkers on a Friday evening after a long work week to have some drinks. Whether or not you are sipping on wine or having a cocktail, it’s nice to have everyone together chatting and laughing. If you have friends that are on board with the idea then you can take turns hosting. For starters have a spread of different cheeses and crackers, hummus and chips and some fruits such as grapes, strawberries etc. If your guests offer to bring a bottle or an appetizer feel free to accept. Keeping it at a maximum of 10 people can be doable or you can collect some money from those who are interested and that way you won’t be spending a fortune.
White wines – Chardonnay, Riesling and Moscato
Red wines – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel
These are all well-known wines that are not too pricey. Whichever one you provide for your guests, they will be more than pleased with.
Cheeses – Goat cheese, Gruyere, Vermont cheddar, Gouda, Brie, and Asiago. Three to four cheeses is ideal to have on a platter or board. This will allow choices for everyone.
Meat– Pepperoni, Prosciutto and Genoa Salami are all an easy find and those are all typical meat that one would have in a platter.
Breads and crackers– Crackers, garlic tortilla chips, crusty bread, and flatbread crackers will give you that crunch.
Fruits -Figs, grapes, dry apricots, strawberries. These fruits will compliment any of the wine and cheese listed above.
