Months after announcing the renewal of her self-titled daytime talk show, Wendy Williams has landed yet another deal!
The media maven is now the host of Wendy’s Style Squad, a one hour red carpet fashion commentary series that will premiere on BET Networks. The show, which mirrors E!’s Fashion Police, will feature fashion experts Bevy Smith, Lloyd Boston and Robert Verdi as they give their honest opinions about the fashion seen at some of the biggest award shows of the year.
Starting on February 16 with the critique of the Grammy Awards fashion, the show will air five additional episodes covering the looks of our favorite celebrities at the Primetime Emmy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and of course, the BET Awards.
This fashion project could not be more fitting for the “Say It Like You Mean It” star. Her exclusive fashion collection is currently sold on HSN and reruns of her daytime talk show, which is currently in its seventh season, air at midnights on BET.
After years of building her brand, it is only expected that Wendy uses this show as another platform to give it to us “straight with no chaser.”
Advice to all celebrities: bring your A game to the red carpet or forever hold your peace!
