The beautiful, brilliant and savvy, Viola Davis apparently has one mission. Dare to be remarkable in everything she does. The three-time Academy award nominee, actress and producer is bringing a fresh new show called “Black Don’t Crack” to ABC. The must-see comedy is written and produced by Insecure co-executive producer Regina Hicks.
According to Deadline:
“Black Don’t Crack is named after the popular urban phrase articulating the notion that African Americans’ skin does not wrinkle and ages slower than people from other ethnicities. It centers around three former sorority sisters who lost touch after college reunite during a pivotal point in each of their lives and realize that now that they are of a certain age sometimes its ok to crack and no one will be there for you like your sisters.”
The awe-inspiring actress has paved her way from her home town South Carolina to her break out role in The Help. Davis gave an Oscar worthy performance and the rest was HERstory. These days Davis and husband Julius Tennon are developing big plans for their production company JuVee Production. Can we just say we love their marriage that much more! The production company already has a few independent films like, Barbara Jordan (biopic); Custody and latest comedy hit American Koko now streaming on ABC. Davis will also star in Widows which will hit theatres 2018.
We cant wait to see what else is in store for Viola and JuVee Productions!
