Actress Megan Good and husband DeVon Franklin spent their Valentine’s Day at One Church in Los Angeles this year to promote their new book, The Wait. After a discussion on the book and how the married couple dealt with celibacy while dating, the floor was opened for a Q&A session and Franklin, the film executive and minister, showed bravery as he defended his wife after an attendee asked a rather offensive message.

Megan Good is known for her acting and her modeling and most of the time, she is flaunting her curves. In 2012, she married Franklin. Now that she is married to a minister, most expected the actress to show less but we recently learned her husband does not want her to.

During the Q&A session, one of the attendees began her question with “This is not offensive,” which is usually followed by an offensive statement.

She continued: “This is not offensive, but I was at the grocery store and I looked at a newsstand and I saw you, and you had your breast showing. So, so, I wasn’t gonna come here, I wasn’t, but the Lord brought me here to see you. You’re beautiful. You are a beautiful young woman, and your testimony is awesome. It’s awesome. Amen. Amen! And the Lord let me come and push past the judgment … because you have to make sure what you say and what you do match up, you understand? So we gonna cover up, right?

The minister immediately interrupted: “Wait a minute. No … ! That is not what we’re here for. She’s not gonna cover up; she’s going to wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen? Amen. … Yes, she will! God bless you, we love you, I love you dearly, but she has been as Christian as she … is right now when she wore whatever she wanted to wear, so … no, we ain’t doing that!

Good was pretty much at a lost for words, but even if she had something to say. However, Franklin was so moved by the comment, that his wife did not even get a chance to speak.

Franklin also warned the crowd: “Y’all about to see another Devon that y’all ain’t seen! Remember, I am from Oakland, now!

No matter what, people are always going to have opinions and negative comments, but after this incident, we know that Franklin will always come to his wife’s defense.
