Tyler Perry’s upcoming comedy horror film, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, is scheduled to debut in approximately 2,250 theaters on Oct. 20.
The Halloween comedy is the sequel to Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween (2016) and is projected to be a top box office hit amongst its weekend competitors: Universal’s The Snowman, Pureflix’s Same Kind of Different Me, Warner Bros.’ thriller Geostorm, and Sony’s Only the Brave.
Madea, Bam, Uncle Joe, and Hattie Mae all go to Lake Derrick to bring Madea’s great niece Tiffany back home; unaware of the troubled journey before them. Tormented by monsters, goblins, and the “boogeyman” along their way, Madea and company struggle to get Tiffany back home.
“To all of the Academy voters in the room: you ain’t gonna like this s—,” Perry joked while introducing the film during the advanced screening. “But to everybody who just wants to laugh at this film, there is so much darkness going on in our country and in our industry that makes you go, ‘Jesus, what is going on?…’ I wanted to do a movie that is just 100 minutes of silly, non-stop laughter.”
Will you be running to the theaters for this flick?
