When two of our favorite brands do a collaboration what do we get? Well… we aren’t too sure. Vetements a brand that has been all the rage as of late (and can be seen on our favorite celebrities) collaborated with the classic brand Levi’s and we literally felt assed-out. No kidding!

Usually we are all for collaborations amongst our favorite brands. More often than not the collaborations are the best of both worlds for a great price that behooves the consumer but this combination has left us somewhat baffled.

Vetements x Levi’s is giving us a 90’s distressed-boyfriend-jean vibe with a twist. The twist you ask? Well most of the jeans expose what your Momma gave you? Your precious cheeks (and we don’t mean the ones on your face)! Yes, your read that correctly. You have a zipper that exposes your behind. We tried to understand this trend but we are definitely falling short. We truly believe these should belong on the runway, video shoots or on our favorite stars but for everyday wear we just don’t think it’s practical.

Speaking of things being not practical- the price made us choke! The shorts from this collabo run a cool $1000. Not too shabby for something most of the Northeast can only wear for 4 months maximum. Their full length jeans run anywhere from $1,985 to $1,400. Again, Levi is a staple for us but we have never spent that amount on a pair of jeans let alone a pair of Levi’s jeans. Especially, a pair that can get us arrested for indecent exposure if we sit the wrong way or eat too much during a night out.

All-in-all we have to agree with this tweet because it sums us how we feel!

Again, we love both brands but we can’t see buying a pair of jeans for more than most people’s bi-weekly paycheck that threatens to expose our most precious jewels but we would love to know how our followers feel about the collaboration? Who would you want to see rock these and how?
