This year MAC shines their campaign spotlight on a “different sector” of the music industry. James Gager, M.A.C’s Senior Vice President told Billboard, “It feels like a great thing to be able to support artists who are breaking through but aren’t necessarily at the top top, to push them forward.”
Future Forward is the company’s first on-going series that’s based on new artists. “We’ve always done that sort of thing with fashion designers, and to me, it’s most interesting to introduce these artists, as well as our M·A·C fans, to new people,” says Gager.
Former stars that have collaborated with M.A.C cosmetics are Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
The collection includes a “Times Nine Palette” by R&B singer Tinashe. The nine-shade eye shadow palette has colors that are great for a day to night look, which will be in stores on March 17. A rosy-nude lipglass by Detroit rapper Dej Loaf will go on sell April 14.
Halsey’s addition to the M.A.C Future Forward collection is a gunmetal matte lipstick available March 31, which matches her electric and rebellious style. And the last piece of the collection will be Lion Babe’s metallic gold Liquidlast Liner available April 28th.
We can’t wait to get our hands on these new products!
