Sorry for the wait fans, but it’s almost over. Drake will be releasing his forthcoming album tomorrow and he’s given us every reason to anticipate Views from the 6. Here are some things Drake did to keep us so intrigued.

2014 OVO Fest

Back in 2014, Drake released the name of this fourth album, and ever since has been promoting Views from the 6. It was rumored that when he released the title of his album, he was discretely calling his former crush Rihanna the devil. At OVO Fest 2014, the screens behind him flashed fiery red and the number six flashed three times. After each 6, a picture of Rihanna’s face appeared.

Drake later tweeted that he was not calling her the Devil, it was actually a plug for his new album title.

If You’re Reading This…

Last February, Drake surprised us with a 17-track mixtape, “If Your Reading This It’s Too Late,” which featured numerous “6” titled songs like “You & The 6,” “6PM in New York,” “6 God,” and “6 Man.”

Drake x Beyonce x Tinashe

We’re always excited for a Beyoncé feature! During last year’s Coachella, it may have been released that Drake will be using a previously leaked Beyoncé feature “Can I” on his new album. “Can I?” has been on Soundcloud for months, though we only hear Bey saying minimal words, we hope to get the complete track on the new album.

Two other incomplete songs, which leaked from the album, were “Go Out Tonight” and “On A Wave” featuring Tinashe.

Hotline Bling

Whether you wanted to like it or not, “Hotline Bling” has been made into ringtones, social media memes, ugly Christmas sweather and Super bowl commercials, so it was impossible to sing the catchy melody.

OVO X Free Bandz

Drake and Future team up to kill the competition with their “What a Time to Be Alive” mixtape that had us all dabbing with their single “Jumpman.” The two just announced their “Summer Sixteen” tour.

Drake Covers Fader Magazine

Fader Magazine gave Drake the cover, and in his featured article he said, “If I want to make the album I want to make, I have to go find [in-house producer Noah ’40’ Shebib],” Drake says. “I have to go sit with him, and we have to really put in effort.” He said they’re working together more closely than they have since November 2011’s masterpiece, Take Care.

Work Work Work Work Work

The “Work” duo performed recently during Rihanna’s Anti tour in Toronto where Drake sported a ‘Views’ sweater to promote the new album. Drake gave his hometown a little taste of Views From The 6. The rapper performed “One Dance” live for the first time before performing “Jumpman” off his mixtape with Future, “What a Time to Be Alive.”

April 9th Drake tweeted his official “Views” promo video for his new album, which featured images and videos of the past and the present. The album is set to release on Apple Music. Check it below.
