Kanye West premiered his new video “Fade” at the 2016 VMA Awards and all we say, Teyana Taylor did not come to play. Ms. Taylor took our breath away with her captivating dance moves and her sizzling hot body. She left tongues wagging and everyone wanting an encore.
The 25-year old Harlem-born beauty, known for her outspoken attitude and tomboy swag, is coming to make an entrance and an entrance she will make. According to Hollywood Reporter:
“The actress-singer has booked stints on VH1’s Hip Hop drama “The Breaks” and the cable network’s game show “Hip Hop Squares.”
“The Breaks” centers on three friends that share their love for hip-hop, as they work to make their big mark in the music industry. Let’s get one thing straight; Taylor did not “just step on the scene.” Instead, she’s a hidden gem that is finally getting her shine. The world first met Taylor on Season 4 of “My Super Sweet 16” in 2007. It became an instant hit with her 80’s old-school skateboard and NYC Barbie entrance.
In the early 2000’s, Taylor played small roles like Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming and who can forget in Madea’s Big Happy Family, where she plays the role of “Sabrina” who is Bow Wow’s character’s “baby mama.” Her character was made famous when she stepped on the scene screaming “Byroonnnnnn.” Fast forward to 2012; Taylor was signed to Kanye G.O.O.D. music label and the rest was history. And how can we forget the dope Lil’ Kim tribute at the 20 16 Hip Hop Honors?
Engaged to (NBA Cleveland Cavalier guard) Iman Shumpert and the two are parents to a gorgeous baby girl named, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr. Her zeal, tenacity, blood, sweat, and tears got her to where she is today. It goes to show hard work, and dedication will never go unnoticed. We wish you nothing but great success, Teyana.
