Have you heard about our girl Tamron Hall heading over to ABC? Welp, it’s true!
Hall has been keeping a low profile for the last year. Recently, she attended the SheKnows Media #BlogHer18 Creators Summit where she took the stage to announce the conference’s “Voices of the Year Award” winners, and she also shared some special news of her own.
“I’ve been home on my sofa for 18 months — I need this! I am so happy to be here with you wonderful women today,” she said to the crowd of bloggers at Pier 17.
In case you forgot, Hall, who in February 2017 left NBC and MSNBC when Megyn Kelly took over the 9 a.m. hour of the “Today” show, has been working with Investigation Discovery as a host for five seasons. She worked at NBC and MSNBC for a total of 10 years! What a coincidence that she will be working at NBC’s rival. We say, it’s #godsplan.
In a statement this week, Tamron seemed ecstatic about her new gig:
“I’m so thrilled to partner with Disney ABC to create a daytime television show that’s unconventional, fun, intimate and sometimes even raw,” Hall said in a statement. “My new partners appreciate and respect the relationship I’ve built with my audience and know that if we create television worth watching, they’ll join us for the ride. I’m so grateful and excited for this next chapter. The landing makes the leap of faith so worth it.”
Her syndicated daytime talk show should be ready sometime in 2019. We miss this much needed melanin on our TV screen. We’re so excited for this to launch!
