From loud prints to bold florals; khaki textiles to lively stripes, Spring 2017 trends has the EGL Fashion team champing at the bit. We are here for not only the new season’s weather but the fashion we are going to drown ourselves in. We just had to share what we’ve seen trending and give you the details on getting similar looks for way less!

Remixed Oxford Shirts
Ladies, one time or two, I’m sure we can all easily admit to delving into our significant other’s closet to grab a fresh oxford shirt (TIP: remember to have it dry cleaned before returning and he’ll never even realize it was gone). Nothing is sexier than a woman in a slightly oversized button down shirt and the fashion-shpere agreed! They kept a close tab on what we have been doing for years and happily conceded!

Self-Portrait killed the game with their version of the classic shirt.

All Ruffled
When you hear the word ruffles, you may immediately think adolescence. From dresses to socks to adorable little undies, we all once succumbed to this trend as a child. But, much to many’s surprise, this youthful trends has resurfaced and the adult version will be sure to dominate Spring 2017. Ruffles are back with a vengeance and J. Crew made us fall back in love, all over again!

Natural  Khaki
Now, we know what are you thinking, “KHAKI?!”
Do you know our answer? “YES KHAKI!”
As of recent, khaki has dominated the runways, forcing us to restore our faith in a once forgotten dull brown textile. We’re just as shocked as you are, but we are loving it, just the same.

At this present moment, the only thing khaki in your closet is probably a trench coat. Right? Well, after you see what designers such as Ulla Johnson and Rosie Assoulin did to perfect this trend on their runways, you’ll be searching high and low for all things khaki!

Shocking Neon
COME THROUGH AND LET HAVE, NEON!
Does Delpozo outfit look familiar? Well of course it does! Fashion icon, Rihanna (who by the way is rarely ever off-trend), recently rocked this fit to the Roc Nation brunch. We don’t think neon will ever go out of style and it seems the fashion houses would agree. Neon was a constant staple this NYFW and we loved it. Neon reminds us of all things warm and sexy. Wouldn’t you agree?

Robing
Ladies, we called it a couple of weeks ago in our Pajamas on the Street article, but the pajama/bedroom chic trend has spilled over from 2016 into 17 and has no intention of slowing down. We just can’t seem to get enough of robing! I mean, Beyoncé just rocked a robe to the all-star game. You cannot lose rocking this fun and casually easy bedroom article.

Lace Us Up
Laces aren’t only for your feet-now they are accents that keep your shirts together, connect crop tops and adorn your arms. We must admit we didn’t have the faintest clue that this trend would be so popular, but either way, we are feeling it. Alexander Wang perfected this look with crop sweaters and feminine shorts.

We can always count Forever21 to stay on trend. We found a dope Original Flavor Lace-Up Back Tee ($58) which we decided to play down with Adidas shorts( $20) and Nike Prestos ($120).

Statement Jewelry
Grab your grannies big necklaces and your mother’s 80’s costume jewelry because they are back! Statement pieces ran rampant on almost event runway during New York Fashion Week. It didn’t matter the color or size. We are obsessed and ever-so-happy that we didn’t throw away our chunkier pieces.
