Mimi Goodwin has become the queen of all things DIY Fashion and after a quick trip to her blog, Facebook, or Instagram page it won’t take long to figure out why! From jackets to dresses it’s seems as though there is nothing Mimi can’t whip up from her sewing machine and then style it for the Gods to boot. Her “Do it Yourself” fashion blog was just the start of Mimi’s many endeavors. Throughout the years Mimi has added public speaker, consultant, and of course style icon to her list of accomplishments.
The mother of 6 (Yes 6!) doesn’t stop there, since starting her blog she has gained the attention of big name companies such as The Gap, Kellogg’s, and The Oxygen Network! She also works with Simplicity Creative Group to create her own original patterns that you can buy in craft stores nationwide. The self taught seamstress started at only 12 years old and from the looks of it she shows no sign of stopping anytime soon! Mimi’s motto? “Making Sewing Sexy” and with the chic pieces she has brought to life, we think it’s safe to say she has successfully done so!
