Maya Angelou once said, “I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a bitch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass.” Well this lifestyle and fashion blogger is no girl, but we here at EGL think she embodies everything the late, great poet was talking about. Tanesha Awasthi is not only a mom, a stylist, a model, and a creative director, she is also, according to Forbes.com, the Top Lifestyle Blogger. She’s been featured in magazines from Vogue to Cosmopolitan for her style and her great contributions to the body positive movement. Tanesha’s style is what we like to call classically chic, or in other words, timeless. Here are some of Tanesha’s best looks.

Easter may be over, but we are loving this Haute Bunny outfit featured on Tanesha’s blog back in November. Talk about being ahead of the trend. The lace bunny ears are similar to the ones she posts from Nordstrom and the crop top and tulle skirt make the whole outfit fun.

Speaking of Spring, this Miss Mix-it dress from ModCloth gives a season filled with pastels and posies new life. Tanesha breaks up the monotony of spring floral patterns with the addition of the Sam Edelman, hot pink pumps and black cardigan.

Layering is most definitely a lost art, but Tanesha slays it in this ASOS stripe sweater dress and sleeveless longline maxi blouse. Paired with some nude pumps and a simple black bag, this is perfect for brunch with the girls, a day out shopping, or even a casual date.

White pumps are one of the newest trends popping up around the fashion world and Tanesha shows the best way to tackle it. With this ASOS pleated duster and Old Navy skinny pant, she throws on a simple white button up with a pleated detail in the back and a Michael Kors cross body bag to bring the whole outfit together.

There’s a reason why the wrap dress has been around season after season. It is one of the most versatile and flattering cuts a woman can wear. Tanesha proves it here in this ASOS Pencil dress and nude Nine West ankle strap sandal.

We got a chance to ask Tanesha a couple of questions related to her style and here’s what she had to say:

EGL: How would you describe your personal style?

Tanesha: Modern-classic with a unique twist on trends.

EGL: And how did becoming a mother affect your personal style?

Tanesha: I started wearing less heels and more flats! Being a mom also forces you to be more creative with your “off hours” looks, because they need to be child-friendly and most importantly, comfortable.

EGL: We couldn’t agree more.

Great fashion sense doesn’t come with a price tag or in a certain size. Women like Tanesha Awasthi who have gone out and made themselves a household name by sheer will power and talent alone are something to be admired. It’s not just her incredible sense of style that we love it’s her sense of self, too. She is definitely worthy of being anyone’s style crush.

Thank you again to Tanesha Awasthi for providing this exclusive.
