Legacy + Spirit = Marley. We have to admit that we’ve wondered what activists like Martin Luther King Jr. or Marcus Garvey would say about the conditions of today’s society—domestically and internationally. Well, if you’ve ever wondered what Bob Marley might say, then you need to take a listen to his second oldest son, Stephen Marley.

“Scars on my Feet” featuring metro-Atlanta native Waka Flocka is a Tidal exclusive and if you have yet to cash in on your free trial then this might be the perfect time. Waka Flocka has been in the midst of controversy lately regarding his relationship with his wife, Tammy Rivera, The Game and his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement, but the strength of his lyrics show that he’s pushing through for the culture. We can’t provide you with the powerful video, but feel free to take a listen to the soul-stirring track below.

Stephan Marley is far from new to this. Following up to his Grammy Award-winning project Revelation Pt 1: The Root of Life, he released his new album Revelation II- The Fruit of Life on July 22. Guests appearing on the album alongside Waka is Busta Rhymes, DJ Khaled, Iggy Azalea and more.

In the past, Stephen has been criticized by his reggae community for mixing their “reggae ingredients” with too much hip-hop. However, he has continued to do what he loves and has since produced on other Grammy award-winning albums and worked with legends like Stevie Wonder. He is a man of purpose and knows that the torch he carries is his own, yet he cannot do it alone.
