After winter this cold season, it’ll be time for your next party by hosting a spring-themed brunch. With the weather being much warmer and the flowers blooming again, gather up your friends and family to get into the spirit of the new season. Some of you may be thinking, why brunch? First, it is unexpected. Second, your guests get to sleep in and they’re getting best of both worlds. Since brunch is a mix between breakfast and lunch, here’s how to make Sunday brunch with family the new it thing:
Brunch isn’t brunch without a nice cocktail: Mimosas or Sangria. You can make both drinks the day of because of how simple they both are. You can also use whatever fruit is in season such as pineapple, mango, strawberries etc. to make your drink even more fabulous!
A diversified menu – It’s important to cater to different palates and to have choices between hot and cold food. Leave your guests speechless by setting up a buffet with some fresh mini pancakes and waffles with a variety of toppings and syrups. Have a mini bagel bar with custom cream cheese selections and make your own omelet/salad station. Besides bacon as a protein, you can have some steak or some fried chicken tenders (will go well with waffles).
Dessert – With all the seasonal fruit you can either make a pie, tiramisu or a nice trifle bowl. To continue keeping your guests in the spirit of things you can make pie pops, individual pies or cupcake/trifle in a jar. If they chose not to have dessert, they can take it home as an edible favor.
Freshen Up Décor – Keeping decor fresh and simple is important. You can use Mason jars to put beautiful fresh flowers in, nice spring color placemats or tablecloths. If the weather is really nice it would be great to have it your gathering outdoors.
Hope you give it a try and celebrate the new season in style!
