With all the controversy going on lately about cheating and threesomes, many people are adopting the mindset that if you can’t beat them, than you might as well join them. Whether you think it’s considered settling or just downright crazy, sister wives are the new modern day polygamous practice and it’s on the rise amongst the younger generation.

Polygamy, as some of you may know, is the custom of having more than one husband or wife at the same time and the sister wife lifestyle stems from that idea. Having multiple partners that coexist in perfect harmony isn’t something that only the Muslim and Mormon communities take part in either. A handful of celebrities, including NBA basketball player Lou Williams, have openly embraced having two women. Also, let’s not forget the social media popular Taz’s Angels.

So what exactly are sister wives? Basically, they are women that a man chooses to date, have sexual relations with, or marry and they’re all absolutely fine with it. They don’t get jealous of the relationship that the man may have with another woman in the group. In fact, the women form their own special friendship. The relationship isn’t solely contingent upon sharing a man. They shop, party, share household duties and build a bond amongst themselves similar to how best friends or sisters would do; hence the term sister wives.

Would you ever consider being a sister wife?
