Congratulations are in order for British singer and actress Rita Ora. Tyra Banks has just named her the new host and judge of “America’s Next Top Model.”
The revival of the show will be making its way to VH1. Other newbies on the panel include Paper Magazine chief creative officer Drew Elliot, plus size model and body activist Ashely Graham, and celebrity stylist Law Roach. Sources at VH1 say that the new version of ANTM will still imitate the original show; however, they want to attract a new and fresher audience and reflect the modern day modeling industry, which makes sense being that so much has changed since 2003 when the show first premiered.
After 12 years and 22 cycles, ANTM’s original network, The CW, cancelled the program in 2015, and aired its final episode in December of the same year. It has been reported that Tyra will still be very much involved in the makings of ANTM as executive producer and will even be making surprise appearances throughout the season.
The new and improved version of “America’s Next Top Model” is set to hit VH1 this fall. Will you be watching?
