When one door closes, another one opens. A few months ago, Rita Ora announced her departure from longtime record label, Roc Nation. In February, Ora was sued by Roc Nation for breaching her contract after she filed a lawsuit to remove herself from the label.
This week, the singer officially said “R.I.P” to her former label, as she signed her new recording contract with Atlantic Records UK. The Atlantic Records UK President, Ben Cook, said in a statement, “First and foremost she’s a great singer who’s hugely passionate about music and I’m delighted to welcome her to Atlantic Records. We look forward to getting in the studio with her and making an incredible album.”
Rita Ora has not released an album since her first project in 2012, but in her statement this past Monday she shared, “Music is my first love and I am looking forward to getting my new songs released, I’m thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement. The next chapter is going to be incredible.”
Rita has been keeping her fans updated on her new music via Snapchat by sharing videos and pictures of herself in the studio.
Congratulations to Rita Ora. We hope to hear some new music soon!
