The wait is finally over!! Lauryn Hill is set to go on tour late August and tickets are currently on sale at Ticketmaster. There’s no formal word on whether she will have any opening acts or surprise guests, but ladies and gents put some money aside or tap into your savings account because it will definitely be worth the show.

The 41-year old multi-talented songstress came on the scene at a very young age. Trying her hand at acting and singing, she formed a three band group, which included herself, Prakazrel “pras” Michel, and his cousin, Wyclef Jean. The group, which was first called Tranzlator Crew later became the legendary Fugees. Success would finally come when the group dropped their hugely, anticipated project, The Score in 1996. Their hit single “Killing Me Softly” pushed album sales to 17 million copies, which earned the group a couple of Grammy Awards.

Ms. Hill embarked on her solo career and dropped another album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998. Selling 12 million copies, she proved once again her undeniable talent. There’s a long list of artist and fans whom Hill has influenced over the years with her music. The sky is not the limit for this legend. Check out her tour dates:
