Obama Out!” *drops mic*

And that’s exactly what President Barack Obama did as he concluded his last and final speech at the 2016 White House Correspondent Association Dinner. What a way to go out with a bang! State and local politicians, journalists and some of today’s hottest celebrities were all in attendance at the prestigious farewell gala as they gathered to hear President Obama aka ‘Comedian in Chief’ deliver his funny jokes one last time.

I was running on C.P.T., which stands for jokes that white people should not make,” President Obama said at the beginning of his speech when he finally took the podium after running a few minutes late.

The president also threw some fun shade and zingers towards presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and even Donald Trump, who the president noticed was absent from the well-attended dinner.

It is surprising- you have a room full of reporters, celebrities, cameras. And he says, ‘No.’ Is this dinner too tacky for The Donald? What could he be possibly doing instead? Is he at home, eating a Trump Steak? Tweeting out insults to Angela Merkel? What’s he doing?”

But Trump’s absence didn’t stop the party as so many celebs came out to show The Obamas love and support. Actress Gabrielle Union, Nene Leakes, Vivica A. Foxx, Kendall JennerWill and Jada Pinkett Smith, Raven-Symone, Aretha Franklin, Kerry Washington, Tracee Ellis Ross, Rosario Dawson, Regina King and many more were all in the building and slaying the red carpet last night.

And though the evening was filled with lots of jokes, laughter and fun it was a bittersweet feeling in the air for many of the guests as they realized President Obama just has a few more months left in his final eight-year term.
