Chance The Rapper went onto Twitter earlier this month and made up a rap about his girlfriend, praising her to Monica’s 2003 single “So Gone” instrumental. Shortly after, many celebrities and fans followed his lead, making up their own “So Gone” freestyle, uploading it to social media.

It was confirmed by Apple Music that “So Gone” sales went up by 233%, with an increase of more than 400% since the Chicago rapper uploaded the rap video. Chance’s video had more than 240,000 retweets and over 318,000 likes.

Over 2 million Twitter users have participated in the So Gone Challenge, even Monica hoped back on her track and did a freestyle.

Many guys rapped about the lady in their life, which was nice to see while other just made up a random freestyle. Dwayne Wade made two freestyle, one about his wifey, Gabrielle Union and one about random things in his life.

Other celebrities like Kevin Hart, Damian Lillard, Keke Palmer and several others freestyled to the song as well.
