A new project is in the works starring rapper and actor T.I. Harris and the ever so funny, Mike Epps. The two will play brothers in a restaurant based comedy called “The Trap.” Queen Latifah will be producing through her Flavor Unit Entertainment company with partner Shakim Compere. Chris Robinson is on board as the director and Jesse Collins will be serving as the executive producer.

Not only will Mike Epps and T.I. be acting, but they will also be behind the scenes producing. Epps via his Naptown Productions and TIP with his Grand Hustle Films company.

“The Trap” is based on a script written by Mike Epps and Nile Evans about a character (T.I.) who returns to his hometown of Atlanta only to find that his family’s restaurant that is ran by his mother and brother (Epps) is not doing well. On a mission to recover the restaurant, a change in chicken recipes gets the job done!

The project reunites Harris with Chris Robinson, who directed the highly successful film, ATL. In addition to his rap career, T.I. has been seen in films like Takers, Identity Thief, Ant Man, American Gangster, and he even starred in the “Roots” mini-series. Mike Epps has been making us laughs for over a decade in a slew of movies like the legendary Friday franchise with Ice Cube. With that being said, we are sure the film will do extremely well and we look forward to seeing the finished product!

Congratulations to everyone involved!
