Mack Wilds, singer and recent star of VH1’s movie The Breaks, will be releasing his second album this year with Epic Records and he just released the first video from the upcoming album, “Love in the 90z.”

Wilds paid tribute to the Spike Lee classic Do The Right Thing, which was released in 1989, in this video. It was even filmed on the same block as the Spike Lee joint in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. Wilds also uses the same “Sprinkle Me” greeting from the movie in the beginning of his video.

Paying tribute to throwback classics by Jodeci, TLC, and Keith Sweat, Mack Wilds sings:

When TLC wasn’t Too Proud to Beg, and remember Keith made you Sweat?
Back when Jodeci sang Forever My Lady, you’ll be my baby
Like the 90z, like we did in the 90z.”
