When Angel and Gary met, they literally just clicked. They met seven years ago on an online social network popular in their hometown. From the moment they met, they’ve been inseparable. As their wedding day approaches on July 2, 2016, the two were kind enough to talk with EGL and share their love story.
EGL: Angel, what were your thoughts when you met Gary for the first time?
Angel: Honestly, that he was really big and cute, (he’s very muscular). I also thought that it was going to be a fun summer. I was only looking for someone to chill with since it was the summer before my senior year.
EGL: Gary, what are three things you admire most about Angel?
Gary: Her drive, how supportive she is and her beauty.
EGL: How do you settle disagreements?
Angel: In the past, we never really settled disagreements. Neither one of us like to argue, so we just ignored each other until one of us would blow up. (More than likely, it’d be me.) Now, we tell each other how we feel about the disagreement and attempt to resolve it.
Gary: At first, we disagree then we try to see each other’s point of view. We both can be pretty stubborn.
EGL: What is your “love language?”
Angel: Gary is very touchy feely and loves using pet names. He will kill me for saying it, but I’m his “Boobi” and he’s my “Booba.” The quality time is a must since we don’t work the same shift.
EGL: Gary, how did you know you wanted Angel to be your wife?
Gary: When I was down and had days when I didn’t want to wake up, she kept me going. I knew that no matter what we went through, she would be there for me.
EGL: What is the secret to your love?
Angel: I don’t think that we have a secret. We talk a lot about day to day things; anything and everything, so nothing gets boring in our conversations. We gossip (yes, my big manly man gossips lol). We love the movies, that’s our thing we try to do every weekend. We have moments where we just like to get in the car and drive to nowhere in particular, just to have that bonding time. We are young, but we have been together for seven years, and things can get stale in a relationship. We hold hands when we are out, we joke about each other, and we communicate. The thing I enjoy most is that we act silly with each other, whether we’re at home or in public. We are always enjoying each other’s company.
EGL wants to thank Gary and Angel for sharing their story with us and congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!
