While fans patiently wait for Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne whets their appetites with a new reality show titled “Lil’ Wayne’s House.” The label has teamed up with VH1 to present a storyline that features most of the Young Money roster working together under Wayne as their mentor.
On Thursday, Young Money artist Stephanie Acevado did a video with plastic surgeon Dr. Miami and gave some of the particulars about the show. She revealed that Chanel West Coast, Cory Gunz, Lil Twist and Mack Maine will be featured on the reality series along with her. Maybe we’ll get a surprise appearance from Drake and Nicki Minaj.
“We just got a contract with VH1,” she said in the video. “We’re going to be doing a reality show that we’re gonna be shooting in July in LA.”
She continued, “It’s just basically us coming together as artists, as a family, collaborating. Wayne’s gonna be our mentor.”
The show will be Lil Wayne’s first personalized television show, but during his hiatus due to legal issues, he’s done several commercials. Born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., the New Orleans native was also a contestant on The Apprentice and has recently appeared in Ariana Grande’s “Let Me Love You” video and on Chance the Rapper’s “No Problem” track.
On an OVO Sound Radio episode Saturday, host Oliver El-Khatib unleashed a remix of Drake’s “Hype” featuring Lil Wayne. Hot New Hip Hop (hnhh) reports that Wayne’s similes and metaphors have seen better days but still gave him credit for a respectable verse. Hopefully, his long awaited album will give fans what they’ve been missing.
Lil Wayne seems to have a busy schedule in the future, which will make a good storyline for his impending reality show. We will be tuned in!
