Christmas, the time of the year when everyone is in a rush, stressed and running out of time. With so much going on, you are bound to forget something or someone. With Christmas being less than a week away, if you haven’t started, don’t lose hope you can get it done. Divide the rest of the shopping days according to what you need to do and choose a day to tackle each issue. Now is the time where extreme organization is the only way you’ll make it. Therefore, get out your pen and notebook and take a seat, we’re about to help you.
At this point going from store to store to try and tick off your list will only lead to frustration…… unless you like that stuff. Shopping online is still within reach, you just have to be smart about it. Look for retailers where you can opt to go in and pick up your selection. Don’t procrastinate, that’s what got you in this position in the first place. Make a list and go down it one by one and don’t leave any gaps. This will cut down the waiting time and shuffling through shelves and racks of things and you second guessing yourself.
Spa gifts – These are always a winner. Anyone can use them; they’re not limited to age or gender or treatment and the recipient can go at any time that is suitable for them throughout the year.
Gift cards– because these come in all sorts of price ranges and most every retailer has them for offer, you can kill all your birds with one stone.
Scents – Scents range from personalized, for the body or for the home. The smell of anything can transport you back to a zen place or create a new one whether you wear it or you burn it. Candles, oil and wax burners, perfumes and lotions are all great ideas for the one on your list who is into aromatherapy. And honestly, who isn’t?
Chocolate– There’s not too much to say here. Everyone loves chocolate. The end.
Books– Books books and more books. From the baby to the elderly, you will always be able to find something to suit any one of their tastes. Whether it’s for educational purposes, information gathering or purely for entertainment, there is a book out there for everyone.
In the same way, order your groceries and opt if at all possible, for delivery or in worse case scenarios pick them up. Again you will cut down on the time it takes to go through aisles and lines and fighting with someone over your favorite bottle of ketchup.
For The Home:
So you don’t have a tree and the local lots are all out. Your procrastination caused you to miss out. But all is not lost. You can get creative and pull out those beautiful Christmas lights and improvise. Using some handy dandy clear hooks and double-sided tape, you can mount them on the wall and create your tree, making it exactly how you want it to be.
Don’t beat yourself up because you’re not prepared. It can all still get done. Besides, this time of the year is about love, joy, togetherness and peace. Don’t disrupt your own by stressing out and throwing your entire holiday out the door. Most importantly, make time for family and friends and love on each other and end the year with a bang.
