It has been about 3 years since we’ve heard from RnB singer Keyshia Cole, but now, she is back! The new Album 11:11 Reset is a tale of Keyshia’s raw emotions following her public divorce from NBA player, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson. Her seventh studio album, 11:11, holds a total of 11 tracks, including appearances from Too $hort, Dj Khaled, French Montana, Dj Mustard and Remy Ma. Before dropping the album, the songstress teased fans with singles like “You” and more recently “Incapable” and “Right Time.”
In an interview with Rap Up earlier this year, Cole explained the meaning behind the album’s title.
“For the past year, I’ve been seeing 11:11 constantly and to my understanding, you’re aligned spiritually with your destiny and everything that is meant to be in your life is happening at the right time,” she said. “The timing is right. Everything is right. Reset is definitely cohesive with that.”
Keyshia also reset with a new label. 11:11 will be her first project released through Epic records after leaving Interscope. However, she says she has been working on the project even before signing to the label.
“It’s just about realizing once you’re done with something, it’s time to move on and work on yourself and build yourself. That’s the whole vibe I felt during this process,” she told Rap Up.
Keyshia is no stranger to making good music with past hits over the years like “Take Me Away,” “Love,” and “Let it Go” feat. Lil Kim and Missy Elliot, so we are definitely happy to see she is back and in good spirits.
