Kevin Hart is a comedic genius, writer, actor and a successful businessman whose comedy tours have sold out venues around the world. We never saw his memoir coming, “From the Hart.” And after winning three NAACP Image Awards, two Teen Choice Awards, a BET Award and a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, what could be next?
This! Recently, the comedian a.k.a “Mini Mogul” has made his content available in digital form through a partnership with his company Hartbeat Digital and Lionsgate.
The two companies have partnered to launch an on-demand video streaming service, “Laugh Out Loud,” which will launch exclusive Kevin Hart content outside of his roles on the big screen and his live stand up tours. Hart will also work with Lionsgate to create and star in a social, mobile adventure game to expand his global fan base. In a released statement, Hart spoke about the new venture,
“Lionsgate has always been a great partner of mine, and I’m more than excited to take our business and creative relationship to new levels,” said Hart. “I understand the direction in which the television business is headed, and I see this big new space toward which audiences are starting to gravitate. I believe that launching this venture together now puts us ahead of the pack.”
CEO of Lionsgate’s Codeblack Films division Jeff Clanagan continues to have a strong business relationship with Hart and has also been named president of both Hartbeat Digital and Laugh Out Loud. Clanagan told The Hollywood Reporter that he and Hart have been planning Laugh Out Loud and the mobile game since last year.
“Kevin’s reach goes far beyond stateside,” said Clanagan, who called from the Abu Dhabi stop on Hart’s comedy tour. “We’re looking at this from a global standpoint, and digital and mobile is the way that we are able to reach a global audience quickly.”
Heart is opening doors for up-and-coming comedians through his partnership. Hart wants to develop new talent through Laugh Out Loud, which will showcase content curated by Hart along with shows featuring social media stars and up and coming comedians, including “a series starring social media phenomenon Logan Paul, the most viewed content creator on Facebook (300 million video views last month) and Vine (nearly 4 billion loops).”
Lionsgate will also join with Hart and game developer Fifth Journey to create the social adventure mobile game starring and written in collaboration with Hart. In the game, players become comedic rock stars with Hart as their mentor, embarking on adventures that include touring the country, starring in movies, hosting award shows and more.

His comedy tours include Laugh at My Pain and Let Me Explain.
