The world will never forget the 2009 Video Music Awards when Kanye West stormed on stage while Taylor Swift was accepting her award for Best Female Video. Since then, Mr. West has been grabbing mics and telling the world how he truly feels. This past weekend at his “Saint Pablo Tour” concert in Sacramento, no one was off limits!
First off his list was MTV and Beyoncé. According to Ye, his video for “Famous” was snubbed at the VMAs because Beyoncé reportedly wouldn’t perform unless she took home the trophy for “Formation.”
“Beyoncé, I was hurt, because I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me, and over “Hotline Bling.” Now, don’t go trying to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all equal. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are just to win. Fuck winning. Fuck looking cool. Fuck being cool. Fuck all that, bro. I’ve been sent here to give y’all my truth even at the risk of my own life. Even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I’ve been sent here to give y’all my truth.”
This isn’t Kanye’s first time calling out The Carters. Last month, he expressed that he was upset at Beyoncé and Jay-Z for not reaching out to his wife, Kim Kardashian, after she was robbed in Paris.
Apparently, Ye is still in his feelings and told Jay-Z to pick up the phone.
“Jay Z! Call me, Bruh!,” West shouted to the crowd on Saturday. “You still aint call me! Jay Z, I know you got killas. Please don’t send them at my head. Just call me and talk to me like a man.”
And the rant continued. Here are some of the highlights below:
Hillary Clinton: “This Saint Pablo is the most relevant thing happening. If your old ass keeps following old models, you’ll be “Hillary Clinton.”
President Obama: “Obama couldn’t make America great because he couldn’t be him to be who he was. Black men have been slaves. Obama wasn’t allowed to do this and still win. He had to be perfect. But being perfect don’t always change s**t, bro. Being perfect don’t always change shit, Bro.”
Mark Zuckerberg: “You wanna call me now? Do I got the vision, Mark Zuckerberg? Was you wrong? When I said I was $53 million in debt and you didn’t call me, was you wrong? You ate my dinner, you asked my friend Emily Schiller to have dinner with me. I told you about Donda. You said you would help and you didn’t.”
After a 20 minute rant and only three songs performed, Kanye abruptly exited the stage. Of course, fans were pissed. However, to smooth things over, Ticketmaster immediately refunded everyone for their tickets. The reimbursement will post to the original payment source within 5-7 days.
What do you guys think? Has Kanye completely lost it?
