Just five days after 4:44 dropped, it’s been confirmed that Jay Z’s 13th solo studio album is certified Platinum, courtesy of the Recording Industry Association America. After selling 1 Million copies exclusively on Tidal in less than a week, Jay has officially become the first Hip-Hop artist with more than 10 RIAA studio albums

that have gone Platinum or higher. On what seems to be his most revealing album yet, Jay Z opens up about his infidelity, his mother being a lesbian and shares some much needed game about how to be a boss.

In honor of this new moment in history thanks to the power of black magic and Jay’s ability to make boss moves, here are 3 of our favorites boss related gems in lyrical form from the album:

Don’t just claim the block, BUY the block:

“Please don’t die over the neighborhood/ That your mama rentin’/ Take your drug money and buy the neighborhood/ That’s how you rinse it.”
Want to buy the block? Here’s how:

“You wanna know what’s more important than throwin’ away money in the strip club? / Credit / Ever wonder why Jewish people own all the property in America? / This is how they did it.”

The power of ownership and smart investments:

“Financial freedom my only hope / F*** livin’ rich and dyin’ broke / I bought some artwork for 1 million / 2 years later, that s*** worth 2 million / Few years later, that s*** worth 8 million / I can’t wait to give this s*** to my children / Y’all think it’s bougie, I’m like, it’s fine / But I’m tryin’ to give you a million dollars worth of game for $9.99.”

Needless to say, this LP is full of tea, knowledge, and business tips that’ll get you on your game if your willing to put in the work. So it’s really no surprise that this masterpiece went platinum in less than a week! Jay Z said it best: “Men lie, women lie. Numbers don’t.”
