The wait is over—well almost. Actress and comedienne Issa Rae has revealed the premiere date of season two of Insecure. Issa took to Twitter, answering many questions asked by her fans, but the most important one was: when will season two begin?

Mark your calendars for July 23rd.

Now, if you weren’t apart of watching one of the most talked about shows last year, let me give you a recap. Insecure is a spin-off of Issa’s popular web series “Awkward Black Girl,” that was picked up by HBO. The Internet went crazy after this first season, filled with real life relationship battles, work place issues, and just common issues that African Americans face daily.

Last season made the Twitter universe go crazy with its shocking season finale twist, leaving viewers to pick sides between Team Issa or Team Lawrence (Jay Ellis).

We know the Lawrence-hive is busy ironing their blue collared polos.

No trailer for the new season has been released, but after the season finale, we can’t wait to see what season 2 has in store.

In the words of Issa:

“It’s about get hot this summer…hot…July 23rd—tell your friends, tell your family, tell your enemies to watch ‘Insecure’ on HBO. We’re coming back happier, stronger, better than ever.”
