Tiffany Haddish Is the Latest Spokesperson for GroupOn

Tiffany Haddish is the latest spokesperson for GroupOn, an app she unashamedly uses to this day. Early Monday, she tweeted a promo video with the caption, “Everyone knows I’m a huge @Groupon fan and guess what? They made me their spokesperson. That’s right, I am now the official spokesperson for Groupon! So get your Groupon on with me. #SaveLikeTiffany #ad.” If that wasn’t enough, she’ll also be appearing in the company’s first Super Bowl ad in seven years.

Tiffany Haddish has been known for her epic storytelling skills. One of which highlights her experience with Will and Jada Pinkett Smith on a Cajun swamp tour that she treated them to via GroupOn. Months later, the company is excited to bring Tiffany onto their team. “We’re thrilled to have one of the hottest names in entertainment as our new spokesperson,” Vinayak Hegde chief marketing officer at Groupon said in a statement on Monday. “Tiffany’s award-winning talent and well-known passion for our brand make her the perfect choice to serve as the face of Groupon.”

4:44 Tour Becomes Jay-z’s HIghest Grossest Tour Yet

Jay-Z’s 4:44 Tour made headlines last year when it was reported that tickets as low as $6 were being sold.

At the time, his legal team responded via Billboard saying that “by pricing tickets closer to actual market value, Jay-Z and Live Nation are capturing more revenue and creating little room for brokers to mark up the best seats.” Today, this marketing decision has proven to be beneficial as 4:44 Tour is now Jay-Z’s highest grossest tour ever earning $48.7 million, 21 percent more than he made with his Magna Carter World Tour .

H&M Closes Stores in South Africa After Protests

Following the outrage surrounding the H&M ad with a young black boy wearing a sweatshirt with the words “The Coolest Money in the Jungle,” videos of South African protesters demolishing several H&M locations surfaced the web. As a result of the extreme protests, an executive decision was made to close all of its stores in South Africa. H&M said in a statement that it’s “aware of the recent events inside several of our South African stores,” and it has “temporarily” closed all stores in the country. “None of our staff or customers have been injured,” H&M said. “We continue to monitor the situation closely and will open the stores as soon as the situation is safe again.”

Jermaine Dupri Sets the Record Straight on Relationship with Janet Jackson

After some speculation about the former couple rekindling their relationship following Jermaine Dupri’s outing with Janet Jackson at a restaurant, JD addressed the rumors, confused about how any of it ever even got started. “I never knew us not to be friends. These stories are just all over the place,” Dupri shared with Entertainment Tonight. “People keep making up these stories.” According to him, the two had only spoken once before her tour, and he doesn’t even know how she is dealing with motherhood.”

Elaine Welteroth Steps Down as Teen Vogue’s Editor- in-Chief

Elaine Welteroth, editor in chief responsible for revolutionizing the Teen Vogue brand, announced her resignation from the company. “After six life-changing years at Conde Nast, I’ve decided to leave the company,” she said in an Instagram post. She continued, “Leading @TeenVogue at a time such as this, alongside some of the most talented people in the industry has been the most rewarding experience of my editorial career. It has helped me discover how to use my voice to empower young people and girls. This will continue to be a major focus for me as I take my next step—because beyond the compelling covers, and groundbreaking conversations we started online, cultivating this incredible community is what I am most proud of.”

Despite Elaine transforming Teen Vogue into a publication that covered issues of diversity and politics, Conde Nast made a decision to put an end to its print edition, which could have played a role in her decision. She is reportedly now being represented CAA and her future gig remains unknown.

When I moved to New York City at 21 as an editorial intern, my greatest dream was to become Editor-in-Chief. It was a goal too intimidating to even say aloud. I was convinced it was totally out of reach for someone with no connections, no trust fund, and no fancy clothes. I pursued the path anyway. Eventually, I started believing the vision placed inside of me. I learned to shrug off the fear of failure, and how to refuse the urge to shrink—even when I was asked to. . Now, at 31, God has broken the glass ceiling on all of my wildest childhood dreams. My bucket list is all checked off and somewhere along the way I’ve managed to join the ranks of unstoppable women who’ve, throughout history, stared back into the face of the unknown and decided to MAKE IT HAPPEN. . Now, it is time to dream even bigger. . After six life-changing years at Conde Nast, I’ve decided to leave the company. Leading @TeenVogue at a time such as this, alongside some of the most talented people in the industry has been the most rewarding experience of my editorial career. It has helped me discover how to use my voice to empower young people and girls. This will continue to be a major focus for me as I take my next step—because beyond the compelling covers, and groundbreaking conversations we started online, cultivating this incredible community is what I am most proud of. . You are a beautiful, inclusive tribe of thinkers, doers, and dreamers who challenge me to be better every day. Getting to know you, both online and in person, has been the absolute greatest joy of my job. And I’m excited to take you all along for the ride into my next chapter. . What I know now that I didn’t know at 21 is that life is a series of dreams realized. There is no destination, but there will be breakthrough after breakthrough along the way. Our greatest obligation is to keep reaching, to continue growing, to push beyond what seems possible, to live outside the boxes created for us. That is exactly what 2018 is about for me, and for all of us. I’m beyond excited for what the future holds—if 2017 taught us anything, it’s to never underestimate the power of a black woman…✌????❤️✊???? #TeenVogueForever #ontothenext

Trey Songz In A Relationship? False Alarm

There comes a time when even “Mr. Steal Your Girl” will have to hang up his player cards and settle down. Fortunately, for us, that is not the case just yet….but it could have been. This past weekend, Trey Songz tweeted that he’s in a relationship, but it was only a false alarm. He followed it up with a second tweet saying, “Wit all my b!+<#=z yea.” While some may feel indifferent about it, he’s allegedly not yet off the market, so ladies breathe a sigh of relief…for now, that is.

What was the most exciting or shocking news you heard over the weekend?
