If you are like us we when we hear Coachella it translates to “Weekend of Slay”. We probably realized it was a music festival when we heard that MUVA B was originally supposed to perform this year (judge us not!). Before we get into the fashion that dominated Coachella 2017 let’s give you a little bit of background that has celebrities and musicians alike flocking to California.
As per Wikipedia “Coachella showcases popular and established musical artists, as well as emerging artists and reunited groups. Coachella is one of the largest, most famous, and most profitable music festivals in the United States and all over the world. Each Coachella staged from 2013 to 2015 set new records for festival attendance and gross revenues. The 2016 festival sold 198,000 tickets and grossed $94.2 million. The success of Coachella led to Goldenvoice establishing two additional music festivals at the site, Stagecoach and Desert Trip.”
No wonder all our favorites transcend upon this one event every year wearing their best rendition of 70’s fashion. We love the throwback feel that Coachella brings. It’s like Woodstock on a million! From denim, floral prints, loads of fringe, bell bottoms to headbands and platforms. What is normally a NO GO in the fashion world is an immediate must-have after being spotted at Coachella.
Rihanna We all know this Bajan Beauty doesn’t play fair in the fashion world. She rocked this Gucci ensemble at the festival. Her picture in this outfit garnered her over a million likes on Instagram. ISSA HIT!
