There is still a little hope for one last Friday.

Pictures of what looked like an advertisement to a remake of the 90s classic recently surfaced on the internet.

However, rapper and actor Ice Cube took to twitter on Monday to shoot down the rumors of his son O’Shea Jackson Jr. and DC Young Fly making a new Friday.

This is fake. My son doesn’t have a Facebook account. Can’t mess with a classic.

O’Shea also took to twitter calling this stunt a catfish.

Friday fans were excited by the thought of another movie, but were quickly let down.

However, Ice Cube then gave us hope when he tweeted about a meeting he had with New Line Cinema.

Ice Cube starred in and made his debut as a screenwriter in the original Friday, which was released in 1995. Although the first movie started off as a low budget film, Friday ended up having two sequels, Next Friday in 2000 and Friday After Next in 2002.

See the twitter reactions of excited Friday fans below.

Are you looking forward to another Friday? Dish your thoughts!
