Where Hip Hop Lives, debuts the new video series, Breaking Records, hosted by on-air personality and DJ, Megan Ryte. In each episode, Ryte and a celebrity guest faceoff in an attempt to break a current world record, such as how much jello a person can eat with chopsticks in 60 seconds or how many questions a person can ask during a trip to a fast-food drive-thru. The first episode, featuring Hip Hop artist, Desiigner, is available now on HOT97.com and HOT 97’s YouTube Channel.
“I like to have fun, and Breaking Records was so much fun to do,” states Megan Ryte. “As a DJ who breaks records, I wanted to try my hand at breaking a different kind of record, and thought it would be fun to have some friends try it with me. So I created a series where you get to see your favorite artist or celeb out of their element, attempting different & unusual challenges. The results were just too good; you’ll have to watch the series to see!”
Mic Fox, Director of Digital of Emmis New York/HOT 97, adds, “Emmis New York has been focused on creating new and original digital programming for several years now. When the idea of Breaking Records came to the table, it had everything we look for in content: engagement, entertainment, and innovation. We knew it would be an instant hit and are excited to continue developing new episodes with Megan.”
Check back every Monday for new episodes as Ryte challenges some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Remy Ma & Papoose, Uncle Murda, Cardi B, and more, to break records with her. You can catch Megan Ryte hosting middays on HOT 97 every weekday from 10am ET to 3pm ET.
