Every year, hip hop lovers all over the world, specifically in the Tri-State area, patiently await the announcement of one of the hottest and most influential hip hop concerts ever: Hot 97 Summer Jam!! The lineup for the concert, which will take place on Sunday, June 5th has been separated into two installments and the first half is now public knowledge.
Early Tuesday (4/5) Hot 97 announced the artists that will be performing on the Festival Stage. This stage, which annually gives emerging artists their chance to shine will be blessed with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Curren$y and Justine Skye. For those who are fans of the hit singles, “Panda,” “White Iverson,” and “Say It,” Desiigner, Post Malone and Tory Lanez are slated to hit the stage as well.
The second half of the installment will be announced later this week. On Friday, April 8th at 9am, we are expected to hear the names of the artists that will be joining together on the concert’s main stage.
Hot 97’s Summer Jam is known for its star studded lineup meshing some old school with the new school, infamous reunions and unexpected surprises. Just last year, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, Big Sean, Omarion, Fabolous and Meek Mill all performed on the same stage. If Summer Jam’s past records are any indication of what may be in store this go round, then it is suggested that you purchase your tickets, mark your calendars, and prepare for one of the greatest experiences of a lifetime.
Tickets for Hot 97 Summer Jam are currently up for presale. They become available to the general public this Saturday.
