With the weather warming up, so are the covers of GQ!
The popular publication highlighted 13 of the most stylish men in the world this week. This list consisted of those who turn heads with casual wear as well as on the red carpets. The diverse list varies from athletes such as Odell Beckham Jr. and Russell Westbrook to actors such as Idris Elba and Ryan Reynolds to music artists such as Future and Drake, plus a whole lot more. Lets see what sets these men apart and who else agrees.
American model Luck Blue made his way to the spread for more than just his blue eyes. His sense of style, which has built his massive following on Instagram, includes sporting Levi jackets, mall rat hoodies, and the icing on the cake – his platinum hair. The model stated: “I’ve never really looked at myself and thought, ‘Oh, I’m really good-looking.’ When I look in the mirror, I see a skinny punk 17-year-old who just wants to go skate and hang out with some friends, and maybe talk to a couple of chicks.”
Eddie Redmayne, considered a ‘triple threat’ because of his skills in acting, singing, and modeling, tends to catch the eye of many ladies and his casual wear seems to make ‘em go wild. GQ referred to him as “The Natural” for pulling off a simple look consisting of dark denim jeans, a tucked in button-up with a belt perfectly fastened, with glasses and a watch to complete the outfit.
That famous Canadian rapper who takes luxury to a new level, also known as Drake, always makes baggy look rich. The “coziest baller,” as GQ referred to him, took his chill sense of style and used it as inspiration for his clothing line, OVO, which markets an abundance of cotton tees, fleece sweatshirts, and sporty bomber jackets.
Dirty Sprite rapper Future inspired many males across the globe with his wide-brimmed hats. According to Marc Williamson, proprietor of the FlameKeepers Hat Club in Harlem: “They were definitely considered an old guy’s hat until Future started wearing them… now we get plenty of calls from guys wanting the ‘Future hat.’” Future’s hipster hats add context to wardrobe styling, giving street wear a new foundation to grow on.
Idris Elba, also known as “The 007 of Style,” according to GQ, brings an elegant tone for what the alpha male is considered to be. With all the controversy regarding the next James Bond movie and who will execute the role, Idris surely makes a great statement with his bold wardrobe pieces.
Aside from his unreal catches and his phenomenal fieldwork, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, drives the ladies insane, too. From his bold attitude, to his tatted body and uniquely groomed hair, it would’ve been stylishly incorrect to not include him in this group.
Also highlighted in the feature was English singer Harry Styles, as “The Prince of Prints.” He brings life to various, colorful, printed shirts with a simple color pants to fulfill his fashion sense of style.
American actor Aziz Ansari, known for his comedic role on Parks and Recreation, brings a different view of who he really is— fashionably, anyway. His modest ‘Soho’ look emphasizes his character and speaks volumes to male fashion.
When you watch someone carry out the perfect role and supersede in their craft of acting, it’s almost misleading when you see them under another light. Actor Tom Hardy was crowned “The Misleading Man” for his handsome style and manly physique.
This list seems to be on point! What do you think?
