The Golden State Warriors may be earning one spectacular victory; one that has not been won in nearly two decades, and fans are highly anticipating witnessing the moment.
This past Sunday, with a win against the San Antonio Spurs, the Golden State Warriors won with a score of 92-86. With this win, the Warriors tied themselves up with the NBA record held by Michael Jordan’s groundbreaking record back in 1995 when playing with the Chicago Bulls.
In the game against San Antonio, the Warriors went all out! Their star player, Stephen Curry, hit 37 points; helping his team to earn their big 72nd win. The Warriors put the pedal to the metal by doing what no other team was able to do this season, and that was beating the Spurs.
If the Warriors take the win this Wednesday night in their battle with the Memphis Grizzlies in a home game, they will have made NBA history! The team has inched themselves the closest to surpassing the historic record, and with breaking barriers all season, the Warriors have everyone rooting for them.
Be sure to tune in to this outstanding time in sports history tonight at 10:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.
