Future joins the list of rappers who have opened various pop-up shops around the United States.
Pop-up shops have become what celebrities do – they sell items to their fan base and those who want limited edition items.
Usually, the pop-up shops consist of t-shirts, hoodies, and smaller goodies but Future is doing it big for the ‘Future Hive‘. Yes, he will still have the t-shirts, hoodies, and the basic items, but he is adding much more.
Future has collaborated with John Vavatos on a leather motorcycle jacket to be sold for $2,498 and Moreca, who has designed a special edition weekend bag with a price tag of $1,700 which reads “Always Secure the Bags.”
Future linked up with Fancy, a social shopping site to create the shop, which will feature a number of top selling brands like Pintrill and Cease and Desist, along with his own tour merch and FreeBandz clothing line.
“What we wanted to do is create an experience for the fans,” said Marcus Howard, head of business at Fancy. “We’ve seen what everyone has done with the standard pop-up and they are essentially glorified merchandise stands. We want people to come in and feel like it’s Future’s space and offer a high-quality retail experience.”
The ‘Future Hive’ will not only be a shop, but is also made up of an art gallery and a lounge for VIP guest.
The ‘Future Hive’ pop-up shop will be located at 76 Wooster Street, New York, New York.
The shop will open its doors on August 2nd, but will only be open until August 8th.
Like Jinx said from Complex News, this pop-up shop is great for the residents of the tri-state area, but for everyone else you can either buy a plane ticket, get a friend to go, or wait until the scammers put it online for jacked up prices.
