It seems like now more than ever, the trend of sampling 90’s and early 2000’s R&B songs is at an all time high. Jeremih joined that list of artists last month when he released his new single “I Think of You” featuring Chris Brown and Big Sean. Their new collaboration is a sample of Montell Jordan‘s 2000 hit “Get It On Tonite.” This week, Jeremih dropped the official visual for the track. And while neither Jeremih, Chris Brown, or Big Sean are physically present in the actual video, there voices are as a group of beautiful ladies steal the show.
The dim-lit visual is reminiscent of TLC’s “Red Light Special” video and takes place in an empty roller skating rink full of gorgeous dancers. As Jeremih opens up the song discussing his night of pleasure the night before, the ladies show off their sultry moves and effortless flexibility. Adding in a hip hop dance scene for Chris Brown’s verse and jumping right back to sexy for Big Sean’s, the ladies definitely held it down by representing each artists particular style without them even being there. Known for keeping things grown and sexy, Jeremih definitely delivered that and so much more with this! After this project, we’re definitely excited about his upcoming album which is rumored to have a release date that falls towards the end of this year.
Is anyone else getting a bit of an old school MJ vibe from Jeremih’s style on this track? Listen + check out the video below and let us know what you think!
