Of course, Beyoncé fans and even Beyoncé haters cannot stop talking about Queen Bee’s performance on the Country Music Awards on Wednesday night.
Beyoncé joined forces with country girl group The Dixie Chicks and created a remix to Lemonade’s “Daddy Lessons.” Natalie Maines, Emily Robison, and Martie Maguire and Beyoncé debuted the remix in Nashville, Tennessee at the CMA’s and stole the show.
Plenty of people took to social media to express their excitement, confusion, and concern regarding Beyoncé performing at a country music award show. What many people do not know is that earlier in the year, The Dixie Chicks did the “Daddy Lessons” cover and performed it during their tour in England. So the Beyoncé and The Dixie Chicks Collaboration makes perfect sense.
Being that Beyoncé was born and raised in Texas, it’s only right that she be able to connect with her country side, but some country fans were not here for it.

But as always, dozens of funny memes surfaced social media regarding Beyoncé’s Performance.
According to Above Average, because of Beyoncé’s CMA performance, the awards show had the highest ratings in 5 years. “Though country music has a large audience, the CMAs have never been able to equal the numbers of more mainstream awards shows. But from 8:47pm to 8:52pm, the CMAs ratings increased by a staggering 6,000%.”
CMA’s celebrated their 50th anniversary, and if they wanted it big, they knew they had to get Bey, because it gets not bigger than that.
