Our boy Breezy is back! Fans are still on a high from the release of Royalty and all the remixes to his singles from that album, but Chris Brown has quickly hit the scene again by releasing his new single “Grass Ain’t Greener.” The single was released on May 5, which happens to be his birthday!
Chris teased the single on May 3 via Instagram, two days before the release, and now the full song is finally here.
Just like some of Breezy’s recent works, it seems as though this single is also about his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
“You ain’t the girl that you used to be. You say you’re done, you’re moving on,” Chris pours out in his new song.
Chris and Kae’s relationship ended in 2015 after Chris had baby Royalty with model Nia Guzman. But even before then, Chris and Karrueche had an on and off again relationship for some time.
Chris named a song after Karrueche on his last album and even says her name in the “Back To Sleep Remix,” so it would not be a surprise if this new song is also about Kae.
“Grass Ain’t Greener” is the first single from Chris’ upcoming 8th solo album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon. Breezy also has a documentary in the works “Welcome To My Life.” In addition to all of that, Chris will be taking his “One Hell of a Night” tour to Europe later this month.
