Queen Bey is no stranger to winning. As she said on her song, Shining: “Came up 97’ winnin’ 20 years boy!” However, this may be one of Beyoncé’s biggest wins yet.
Bey has completely shut down the entire competition, taking home the crown for this year’s highest paid woman in music. That’s right: Beyoncé has topped every woman of every genre of music.—beating the likes of Taylor Swift who has had a remarkable year in album sales, and as well as Rihanna who has been making a killing this year off of various ventures. How does Beyoncé manage to slay our lives everyday on Instagram, all while laying low, taking care of her three children, and still manage to bring in an outrageous amount of money?!
Well as we all know, Beyoncé kicked last year off with the Super Bowl performance of her hit single “Formation.” The performance sparked a ton of controversy, but led Beyoncé into what many would say was the peak of her career, although we all know she never fails to amaze us with her next move. Immediately after her groundbreaking performance, she announced her massive Formation World Tour, which has reportedly grossed over a quarter of a billion dollars. In the midst of all that Formation excitement, Beyoncé then premiered her visual album “Lemonade” on HBO sending what seemed to be the entire world into a frenzy. Although the album and tour both took off last year; her earnings from both projects fall into the Forbes’ last scoring period. There is no doubt that Lemonade proved to be the gift that keeps on giving. Bey has also been bringing in the bacon from her clothing line, Ivy Park.
All together, Queen Bey has brought in a total of $105 million dollars this year (assuming pretax)!. Adele falls in second place earning a whopping $69 million dollars. Needless to say, when life gave Beyoncé lemons, she made some pretty expensive lemonade! OKAY!
