It seems that the fashion industry is finally taking notice that our curvy cuties want to look beautiful, and chic in the clothes that they wear. Recently, the fashion heavyweight, Christian Siriano teamed up with the plus size brand, Lane Bryant, to create a plus-size collection.
In my opinion, fashion should never be defined by size. Regardless if it’s for red carpet or a day at the office, every woman should feel stylish and comfortable in their clothes. I’m excited about this partnership with Lane Bryant because it allows me the opportunity to showcase my designs on the everyday woman and allow them the opportunity to feel as beautiful and fashionable as possible.
Earlier this week, during the Empowering Women NYC’s Body Inclusivity and Diversity Summit, Christian Siriano, debuted his collection at the United Nations Headquarters. The runway was graced with stars who modeled the latest collection like actress Danielle Brooks, and supermodels Ashley Graham, and Candice Huffine. The audience was filled with celebrities who support the brand like Amber Riley, Sherri Shepard, and celebrity stylist Ty Hunter.
This 18 piece collection hit stores on April 28th and is almost sold out. The size 14-28 collection features pieces that will range from $48 to $198. We love the bold colors and great silhouettes of this collection. “The color palette and textures were kind of from 1950s, 1960s ice cream parlors,” says Siriano. These colors are perfect for the upcoming warmer months, and will look great on our curvy girls.
We at EGL are excited about this collaboration. We hope more designers take note and create more collections like this. If you would like to get your hands on this collection you better hurry. You can purchase pieces from this collection now at Lane Bryant.
Which look is your favorite? Do you think this collaboration is a match made in curvy girl heaven? Let us know your thoughts.
