Everyone that stays up-to-date with the latest in fashion, knows that with the new year comes new trends. Naturally we are excited to see what will be the new must have looks of this year. Count on seeing lots of pink and orange this year, as both colors are forecasted to be big! However, even with the new year underway there seem to be questions that are still lingering from 2015 like; Are we finally leaving crop tops, and pencil skirts, in the past? Will “flatforms” be the new platforms in 2016? Luckily we’ve weeded through the good, the bad, and the ugly to bring you the hottest trends you can expect to see plenty of in 2016!
 
Victorian:
We saw hints of Victorian inspiration make a comeback towards the end of Fall last year and now we can expect to see lots more in 2016. From puffed sleeves to lacy high necklines be on the lookout for classic looks with a Victorian edge throughout this year.

X Cut Neckline/ The Cold Shoulder:
The ladies trend of the year is said to be the “X Cut Neckline” also know as “The Cold Shoulder.” This Halter-esque style will almost always include a shoulder bearing sleeve, hence the nickname. It transcends throughout the seasons as it can be layered up in the Winter and exposed come Summertime!

For those of us ladies who are kicking off the new year on a cute and comfy note this trend is for you. Solids are so 2015; Triblend cottons and marble knits are taking over in the new season. These are pieces that will be perfect throughout the Winter and Spring.

Think sexy, sleek, and chic, and that is exactly what you’ll get with this sultry trend. You can dress up your “Robed” ensemble by belting it with heels or play it down with pants. Luxurious, relaxed, yet still stylish, the robe look is bound to be big this year!

Pleats are another trend that are making a return this year! From pleated shirts to a fashion fav like pleated skirts, don’t be surprised when you find a few pleated pieces in your closet come the end of this year! Leave it to pleats to add class with a touch of sass’ to your 2016 wardrobe.
