There is no other holiday that screams craft, flower and bright colors like Easter. This time of year the days are longer, sunshine getting brighter and temperatures are on the rise. For most people they are thinking spring cleanup and Easter break. The most important out of all of these is Easter weekend especially if you have little ones.

There are many traditions that most follow or have around this time of year. Like any other holidays, many spend time with their families and friends. Friends and family are the most important part of anyone social circle. With that being said what do you have planned this holiday for your child or children? All kids love to get involved when it comes to doing anything creative and crafty.

Decorating eggs is one of the many traditions that most of us grew up with. Egg decorating can be very elaborate which means you can get as creative as possible, sky is the limit. If you’re looking for something different from the average food coloring and vinegar. You can use glitter to give it a little more edge, you can modge podge if or another one emoji, or even Minion themed Easter eggs. Who doesn’t love a minion? All you need is is some craft paint, silly-wiggly craft eyes, and either some permanent markers or paint markers.

Make and enjoy a dish together. The kitchen should be a place where you create memories. Gather up and make a meal that your family enjoys, or something that you always made growing up. You can make desserts to represent spring and you don’t have to be an expert. Like this “chick” cupcake, made with yellow swirl icing and black sprinkles for the eyes, and orange icing for the little feet. How cay-ute!

Take on an outdoor adventure. Don’t miss out on this great weather, take your family outdoors. Maybe to a picnic, or an easter egg hunt, or just lay out and enjoy the spring breeze. Accompany your outing with kites and easter baskets full of goodies so that everyone stays fully entertained!
