This time of year means one thing and one thing only – the kids are finally heading back to school! On the other hand, how many of us can say that we had an adventurous summer? Yes, we probably went to a lot of cookouts, put a few things on the grill and maybe went to the beach. But before school starts, we have one more big holiday which means a three-day weekend for many people – there is no better excuse to have fun on Labor Day.
Once you get your list in order and start asking some of the guests to bring some finger food and side dishes such as salad, pasta salad or even a dessert. Here are three great ideas to add to your party.

Drink station – Cool your guests from the summer heat by creating a serve-yourself bar, setting up drink dispensers with either sangrias or other drinks that are children friendly and also for the non-drinkers. Bottle waters and wines both red and white are also an excellent addition to your station.

Drinkware– Is just as important so if you’re planning an intimate night with 10-20 of your closest friends and family you may want to do mason jars with labels that will help everyone keep track of their drinks. A marker or chalk can be used to write names, it’s also an easy and cheap find.

Food: Fresh berries, melons, and vegetables paired with a cheese spread. A self-serve buffet with wings, kabobs, burgers and hot dogs with different toppings to go along. The topping can be made the night or hours before.
