Just three months before the election, Evan McMullin has decided to run for the President of the United States under the Independent Party. Motivated by his slogan, “It’s never too late to do the right thing,” McMullin is holding strong to the belief that he can be President, in spite of missing the ballot deadline in 26 states.  His most recent experience in politics was as the chief Republican policy director for the U.S. House of Representatives. He is a CIA veteran, ex-investment banker and even worked as a fisherman off the seas of Alaska. Oh, and he’s single.

Former Governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson is running for president under the Libertarian party. He is the only third-party candidate (Democrat and Republican being the major two, of course) that will appear on all 50 states’ ballots. He’s not new to this, as he ran for president back in 2012. He’s described as “fiscally conservative, but socially liberal.”

Jill Stein has been in the running game since last year.  She is an option for 60 percent of the nation’s voters, as the Green Party has only made it onto 23 state ballots, including the District of Columbia. She has earned her recognition and was prepared for it as she spoke at the party’s national convention in Houston this past week.

With our limited space, we didn’t go into detail about each candidate’s stance on certain issues but feel free to click the hyperlinks to learn more about them and and their parties.
